Behind the Studio
Before founding Live + Be Design, Kia Walcott Carter spent more than a decade in scientific research and medical communications, earning a doctorate in the biomedical sciences along the way. While renovating investment properties with her husband, she discovered a natural affinity for design, drawn to the way it combined creativity with the same curiosity and problem-solving that had defined her career. That perspective continues to shape her work today, bringing both careful consideration and a discerning eye to every project.
